What kind of fish can be found in the Little Colorado River of the Grand Canyon? Natasha Elsen describes her experiences assisting the Arizona Fish and Wildlife Services in their mark and recapture efforts and spending 2 weeks in at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Natasha Elsen

When I was growing up, my Dad and I enjoyed participating in the annual MAS Fish Shows and this is where my love for the hobby grew. Because of MAS and my interests, I went to college where I achieved my Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Zoology from North Dakota State University. When I was in school, I participated in multiple laboratory research studies looking at various endangered desert fish species. Now graduated, I currently work as a Wet Chemistry Lab Technician for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition Innovation Campus. On my free time, I still enjoy playing in my tanks and finding more challenges as a fish keeper to take on.
