Due to airline equipment issues, Karen's visit is postponed. She's RESCHEDULED for the March 1 MAS general meeting. She'll also give a talk on Friday March 2 at a member's fish and plant room.
The GOOD NEWS is that Travis Gregar will be presenting to us. He's been keeping planted tanks for about the past 6 years. During that time, he's become one of the top achieving HAP members in MAS. He's been responsible for sourcing and making available dozens of new plants to MAS members and planted tank enthusiasts in the Midwest.
Over this time he has worked his way from simple low light plants to highly complex ecosystems that requires the plants to be pruned daily. He treats each tank as a chemistry experiment that can run itself with minimal intervention. An introduction to planted tanks will be presented that will encompass basic equipment, suggestions for setups, and daily and weekly routines.
