Get your chili recipes out, it's time for the annual MAS 'Bowl Show' Chili Cook Off. Hot, medium or mild, we'll taste all kinds and decide on a winner. A good time for eating, visiting, and catching up for all. We'll also have a few MAS discussion topics to keep things lively.

This is your first official reminder that at the January monthly meeting a special exhibition only class will be held with the monthly bowl show.

It is time to start warming up your chili recipes. You've all got just a bit over seven weeks to perfect your chili. I'm pretty sure you'll need to spend all that time practicing if you want to beat the reigning MAS Chili Bowl Champ (no I didn't say Chump). There were a few noteworthy challengers last year, can there be a dethroning this year?

The rules are simple.

1. Cook a batch of chili.
2. Bring said chili in a suitable container with a serving utensil.
3. Fill out your entry and place by your pot.
4. Sample all the tasty chilis and vote for your favorite.

 

Once we get your bowls and bellies filled with good chili we'll be discussing a variety of topics relevant to MAS. We've also got many awards to share - BAP and HAP of the year to start with...

January is T-Shirt Design Month!

January is when we pick the design for the 2011 MAS T-Shirt!  This year, we're only using art work, no photos (they don't turn out quite as well). The winner will work with Beth Fraley in turning their art work into a T-Shirt we can all be proud to wear.

TIP - work with 3 or 4 colors for the best result. Bring your finished art project to the January meeting to be entered.

If you win, the t-shirt company can work with your finished design, or, better yet, a computer file.

So, unleash your finny fantasies and bring your design to the January meeting!
