At the October 2019 meeting, the HAP program awarded Milo Squires the Grand Master award for Horticulture.
Milo is only the third person ever to have earned this top-level award. (The other two who surpassed the 2500 point barrier are Paul Garrity and Travis Gregor.) Milo submitted his first plant, Najas flexilis, in January 1994. As of this award, he has since submitted 229 species/varieties of plants for a point total of 2545.
