Shawn FlynnShawn Flynn attended St Norbert College in WI and earned a Graphic Design degree in 2000. It was there he met his future wife Sarah. Together they shared an interest in setting up fresh water fish tanks. After marrying Sarah and moving back to White Bear Lake, MN, Shawn managed to set up 15 tanks. After a few years in an apartment, the couple got the urge to own a home and start a family. In 2003, Hastings, MN was the location that they chose to settle. Shawn designated the basement (approved by Sarah) for his fish room.

In 2012, Shawn launched his business Pure Fish Works; in which he breeds and distributes his specialty Apistogrammas, Apistogrammoides, Laetacara, Papiliochromis and Dwarf Crenicichla. His fish room has grown over the years to a capacity of 98 tanks of various sizes.

In addition to his love of fish, Shawn is actively involved with his church where he serves as a deacon, and leads an Addiction Ministry. His wife Sarah, homeschools their three children and oversees fish care during the day and maintains the Pure Fish Work’s Website.
