Membership Meeting: Bioscapes in Nano Aquariums

About this event

Brandon May
Aquascaping aquariums can take a relaxing and holistic approach that seeks to emulate natural settings, many people refer to these as "Bioscapes". Small sized aquariums present their own variety of both challenges and benefits to hobbyists looking to get a big punch in a small space. This presentation will explore the intersection of these ideas and share some examples and strategies available to people looking to create naturalistic biomes with limited volume.

Brandon May worked as a USDA research scientist in the university network prior to settling in as an Environmental Scientist and industrial regulator for the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection. He has been in the aquarium hobby around 35 years with a focus on all things small, especially North American native species, live bearers, pseudomugils and ornamental shrimp. He lives in Frankfort, Kentucky with his wife and three sons.
